Agustín was born in a little town in northern Spain called Santander. His mother and cousins were all avid golfers and won many Spanish amateur events. Agustín started to play golf at the age of three and he also started playing soccer at the same age. He played top level professional soccer in Spain until the age of 24 when, he decided to move to San Diego and attend the San Diego Golf Academy.
